Bell Schedules & Remind Sign up and Gradebook

Bell Schedules

As a school-within-a-school model, Camelback Montessori is on the same bell schedule as the greater Camelback High School. However, through our block model, students will experience 3rd and 4th hour as only one, 105-minute morning block (freshmen and sophomores) and 7th and 8th hour as only one, 105-minute block (all grade levels). Because we are on a block schedule, students will see their content teachers three times a week.

First hour starts at 8:00 am on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesdays, first hour begins at 9:00 am. Once a month, there is a district late start with first hour beginning at 10:40 am.

Remind Sign-Up

Timely communication is critical between our school and our parents and students. Our chosen platform for communication is through Remind.com, which allows both students and parents to determine whether they prefer notification through emails or text messaging. Remind is a safe platform and is used strictly for educational purposes by the staff of Camelback Montessori.

By using Remind, personal emails and phone numbers will not be revealed to our school staff while still allowing communication through these venues. Please be sure to sign up using a number or email that is checked regularly. Students and parents will be held accountable for messages and notifications missed through Remind. If you need assistance in getting signed up for Remind or need to update your information, please email your child’s advisor and we will make sure you receive an invitation.

Gradebook

As our adolescents move into young adulthood, students are expected to check their grades regularly and follow-up with teachers to receive help and support as needed. Students can retrieve their log-in information from their advisor. Parents can request a login for their child by emailing Kim Sweet, ksweet@phoenixunion.org, with their child’s name and student number to receive a user login and password.

On a 4.0 scale, an A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1 and F=0. Honors and AP courses are weighted heavier, with A=5, B=4, ,C=3, D=1, F=0. Every 3 weeks, progress grades will be mailed home. Our Quarters are broken into 9-week cycles. Only Semester Grades (Fall Semester August-December & Spring Semester January-May) will post on the student’s final transcript.
